NICE Marketing Materials

When looking at NICE’s marketing materials their website was the one thing I thought needed some changes. The one part of the website that I thought needed the most work was their donation page. Our group as a whole had many good ideas to boost their marketing materials to make them more efficient. We came up with some great ideas for them to implement into the website. Together we were able to develop a great proposal to send over to NICE.

The audience for the website is anyone who wants to know more about NICE and their purpose. The point of a website for any nonprofit or any company in general is to inform people in a simple way. My specific part in the website collaboration was the donation page. This page specifically targeted the people who are interested in NICE’s cause but don’t have the time to volunteer. However, there are some people who are more then willing to donate physical items, so having that more prominent would benefit them. This page really stuck out to me because all their donation page said was how to donate money. It doesn’t mention all the physical items NICE takes for the apartment set up or for the families that NICE helps. A lot of people don’t have the money to donate however; a lot of people have household supplies that they would be more then willing to donate. Having all the items they take, as donations would benefit them because it has potential to boost the amount of people they can help.

The design for this page is meant to be clean and simple. The easier things are laid out the easier it is for people to understand. All of my groups ideas and designs were made to make the website simpler and more efficient. Our main goal as a whole was to bring more engagement to the website and to NICE as a whole organization. The biggest key to making their website better is to make sure it flows and the design is all very similar. When changing a website it is an important marketing skill to never change the branding more than once in a small period of time. It can confuse people who religiously visit the website and make them no longer want to continue to visit the site. Making sure the site is exactly how you want it before publishing it is important for the brand.

The writing choices I made in the paper were all about the donation page. The reason I chose the wording I did is because they are simple explanations of what the person looking at the page is about to click on. Having a mini explanation of what NICE does and the list of items that people can donate posted where the picture of the little boy is would make it easier for people to understand all the ways they can help. It shows them exactly what their donations would be used for, which people really appreciate.
